Privacy Policy

WePray, LLC (“WePray,” “we,” “us”) builds tools to help people pray. We take the privacy of your spiritual life seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.

What we collect

Account information such as your name, email address, the church you choose to connect with, and — if you are a pastor or church leader — your leadership role. Church information — if you add a church that isn't on WePray yet, we store the details you submit about it (name, address, phone number, and website, sourced from Google Maps). Prayer activity such as when and how long you pray, used to power your habit streaks and reminders. Device information such as a push-notification token so we can deliver the notifications you've turned on. Waitlist information — if you join our waitlist, we store your email and (optionally) your church so we can notify you about access.

What we never do

We do not read, record, or share the contents of your prayers. The prayer lock runs through your device's own controls: on iOS, Apple's Screen Time framework; on Android, an accessibility service that WePray uses solely to detect and block app launches during a prayer session you started. The Android accessibility service does not read, collect, or transmit the contents of your screen or anything you type. Pastors connected to your church can only see encouraging aggregate trends (for example, how many members prayed this week) — never your individual prayer contents or personal details you haven't chosen to share.

How we use your information

To operate the app, personalize your experience, communicate with you about WePray, and improve our product. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Your church and your faith

Information about your church and your role in it is religious in nature, and we treat it that way. We use it only to connect you with your church community inside WePray and to make what we send you relevant (for example, resources for church leaders). We never sell it and never use it for advertising.

How we communicate with you

We send service messages that are part of using WePray — for example, when your church is approved, when a prayer request is shared with your church, or when there's an important change to your account. We may also send emails about WePray, such as new features, tips for building a prayer habit, and news for church leaders. Every one of those emails includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or emailing us. Opting out of those emails does not stop essential service messages.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of companies to run WePray, and they may process your information on our behalf: Supabase (database and app hosting), Apple and Google (sign-in, app distribution, push notifications, and Google Maps for church search), GoHighLevel (the platform we use to send email and manage our communications — it receives your name, email address, church, and whether you are a church leader), and Vercel (website hosting). These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us, not for their own purposes.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings, or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your profile, prayer activity, and church connection from our systems and from our communications platform within 30 days. We may keep anonymized, aggregate statistics that cannot identify you.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@joinwepray.com.
